Tha Chang Wangna) - Tha Chang Wangna was formely a royal pier and then a ferry port, taking passenger to Bangkok Noi Railway Station and other places along the Bangkok Noi canal. The area was once located back gate of the front palace. There was a royal elephant corral nearby. The pier where royal elephants were brought for bathing known as Tha Chang Wangna (the front palace's elephant pier). In the reign of King Rama IV, King Pin Klao (second king resided at front palace) preferred his courtiers to park their barges at the pier near to his residence. He ordered to demolish part of the city wall and replaced by a gate for the royal elephant passing by. The pier was called Tha Chang since then. The former elephant pier was later changed its name to Tha Khun Nang Wangna (the front palaces's courtiers pier).

Khlong Khumueang Doem) - The moat was part of the old city moat of Thon Buri period in 1771. The moats in Thon Buri side were was called separately in three names i.e. Khlong Wat Thailat, Khlong Ban Mor and Khlong Ban Khamin, other three moats of Bangkok side were called Khlong Rongmai Wangna, Khlong Lot and Khlong Talat. Later, in 1982 the government named Khlong Khu Meuang Doem (Old City Moat) as it part of historic city moat.

Thanon Phra Athit) - Thanon Phra Athit was named Phra Athit Road because of the name of the fort that the road pass through. Phra Athit fort was one of 14 forts that was constructed in the reign of King Rama I, and 12 of them were demolished. Only two forts remain. They are Phra Sumen and Mahakan Fort. Along Phra Athit road, they are many prince palaces and noblemen houses. The interesting sites along this road are Santichai Prakan Pavilion which was located in Santichai. Pakan Park, Chao Phraya's house which was the palace of Prince Kham Rop, UNICEF building which was the first palace of Prince Naret Worarit, house number 19 Tha Chang House (Tha Chang Office Residence) the residence of Mr. Pridi Banomyong (the former prime minister and statesman), and Phra Athit House which was the residence of HRH.
