-    Autour du Zinc : French networking organized by the Franco-thai chamber of commerce. This event is held at Café Lenotre on Langsuan Road. Entrance is Free. Starts at 6:30pm. More info.

-    GOYP: Special event with the German Young Professionals!

Visit BKK air traffic control tower! Wine & dine with Lufthansa Sky Chefs. Yes, they offer a visit of Bangkok Suvarnabumi International Airport record high traffic controle tower and a quick lunch at Lufthansa LSG Sky Chef. This will cost you THB 600.00. You need to be free all afternoon because the tour starts at noon at Lumpini (MRT Lumpini). More info.

-    Amcham (the American Chamber of Commerce) will take you to the chic and all-new: Tetto Lounge @ Anantara Baan Rajprasong (BTS Rajadamri) for a new Fund Raising Party. Starts at 7pm. Registered non-members will be asked to donate THB 100.00, and unregistered guests THB 200.00. More info. Directions to Tetto Lounge: Tetto Lounge is on the 12th floor of Baan Rajprasong Serviced Suites on Rajadamri Road (take a left down Soi Mahardlekluang 3). The Soi is opposite the Royal Bangkok Sports Club and Baan Rajprasong is about 30 meters down the Soi. Look for the tall, white building with a big “shark fin” on top. BTS Rajadamri.

- GOYP

This week there is a special GOYP (German Young Professionals) at GLOW.

It’s Nena! It’s the MOONWALK! Let’s meet at Glow and overact again – the hair, the colors, the silly outfits. Swing back into this freaky mood, when tasteless dresses and strange dance styles went so well together. Anyone in for a break dance? OK, dig up this shades of yours – Yes, it’s the 80’s again and it’s Disco time! And yes: we will also have delicious snacks again.

OK, it’s not the classic networking event this time. But what the heck – we have the DJ, the location and we will even stop for a one-minute-prayer that the Obamonomics will work and end so totally better than the infamous Reagonomics (too young to remember this? Google it . ”

GOYP is on Tuesday, May 19th (which is my birthday!) at Glow, on Sukhumvit soi 23, 19.00 onwards.

- EYP

The European Young Professionals which is an event of the BCCT (British Chamber of Commerce in Thailand) will be held at The NEST at Rooftop LeFenix Hotel, Soi 11 Sukhumvit Road (5-10 minutes walk from Nana BTS station).

The event is called Saint Trop Night at the Nest and here is how they describe it: “It’s time to gear up for the summer, and what better way than to get ready at our next double whammy – yes it’s Europe Day again, and this year we’re celebrating it Saint-Tropez style.

Sponsored by the European Union, this will be a great opportunity to meet the team here and find out about some of the projects they are working on that may benefit EU in Thailand!

Not sure what the European Union has to do with that, though.

The EYP will be held on Wednesday May 20th at the Nest.
