It is a hip, classy, up-market club-bar located in an all-white building that resembles the villa of some Roman senator relocated to Siam. Ignore Pegasus, the exclusive hostess joint next door, and enters this vast, opulent sun palace with more bars, dance floors and spilt levels than you could shake a swizzle stick at. Music is of cutting-edge international club standard and the DJs doing duty have flown in from all corners of the globe. Sure, it's pricey and posey and your fellow Narcissists are rolling in the money, but wouldn't you want to pay more for drinks, snacks and a magazine-cover clientele like this? Narcissus Club worked with some of the world's most famous DJ's like Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Derrick May, Nicky Holloway, Alfredo, Richard F and there are still many more to come. Today Narcissus Club keeps on walking alongside all local and foreign clubbers moved by the rhythm of global dance music. Narcissus Club opens daily from 9.00 pm to 2.00 am. BarSu promises a sophistication currently lacking from the Bangkok bar scene. With bold contemporary design, forward-looking food and a daringly different music policy, it delivers. The team behind it have crafted an elegant space that works not by fitting into the 'loud beats' trend for bars, but by giving customers' pleasure-seeking impulses - not dance music - pride of place. Eat: BarSu cuisine reflects the diversity of its clientele. Our menu was created by Yves Mattagne, a world renown chef who displays his two star abilities nightly with his unique fusion creations. Yves culinary delights include sushi, tempura, yakitori, fresh oysters & seared fish. Tapas, wapas and other devlishly sweet delights are chopped together in the open faced kitchen where dining becomes spectacle as well as an awakening for the taste buds. Play: BarSu serves and a wide range of exotic and signature cocktails. A posh wine area is the place to sample fruity New World wines and the more subtle Old World favourites. In the main bar, our award winning barman / multi-mixologist, Filippo Baldan, blends his juices with deftness and showmanship. Considerable attention has been paid to sound engineering in BarSu. Different areas allow guests to meet, greet or grind throughout the evening. Private rooms are also available for those more intimate get-togethers. Dance: BarSu differs from its predecessors with its approach to music: no deafening drum and bass. The BarSu sound plays through the spectrum of soul, funk & rock, as well as a few odd tracks from the 70s and 80s. There will be no deafening back-ground techno here. Just great beats to nod your head and tap your neighbour's feet to. Down to earth yet sophisticated and eclectic, BarSu is designed for fun-loving people who enjoy all the very best ingredients of a good night out… Details: BarSu @ Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok 250 Sukhumvit Road between Soi 12-14, Bangkok 10110 Thailand At Asok BTS Exit 2 Tel: (66) 02 649-8358 Hours: 6pm - 2am Admission: Cover charge on special occasions Website: http://www.barsubangkok.com 0 comment :: Add a comment |
