Visa Application, Visa Run and Visa Renewal in Malaysia

Malaysia is a good place for visa application, visa run and visa renewal because the country is close to Thailand, cheap, and doesn't require a visa to enter (90day visa on arrival is granted to almost all nationalities).

There are 3 Thai embassies in Malaysia, in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Kota Bharu (see addresses below). Obviously (based on visa applicants reports) Kuala Lumpur is the most "visa-friendly" of all 3. But also the most expensive to reach and to stay in.

For Non-immigrant B visa, the procedure in Kuala Lumpur is to bring you passport and all your document between 9:30 and 11:30 and to collect your passport back the next working day between 11:30 and 12:30.

At the time of writing, Non-immigrant B visa 1 year-multiple entry costs 550 Malaysian Ringgit and Non-immigrant B visa 3 months-single entry costs 220 Malaysian Ringgit.
